TOUR PROGRAM

1. Moscow

Arrival to Moscow.

Meeting with a guide. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation in 4* hotel.

2. Moscow

Breakfast in the hotel.

Sightseeing tour Moscow city center. Red Square is the main square in Moscow. The place for the present Red Square was identified during the reign of Ivan III (the end of XV – beginning of XVI century), when the Kremlin was rebuilt. So, Red Square is allocated along the northeastern wall of the Kremlin.There is the Lobnoye mesto, the monument to Minin and Pozharsky, Lenin’s mausoleum, the Kremlin Wall Necropolis, GUM, the State Historical Museum, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral in Red Square.

Visit to the Kremlin. This fortress was built in 1482-1495. It is situated on the high left bank of the Moskva River.  The architectural ensemble “The Moscow Kremlin and Red Square” is included into the UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

After lunch a visit to Zaryadye park. Enjoy Moscow views from river overlook.

City sightseeing continues to Sparrow Hills – one of the highest points in Moscow and MSU, the oldest and the most famous University in Russian Federation.

3. Moscow

Breakfast in the hotel.

One-day tour to Sergiev Posad (Optional)

The ancient town of Sergiev Posad is about 70 kilometers from Moscow. It was  founded in the 15th century and until now it is the most important Orthodox center of Russia. The Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the largest Russian Orthodox monastery is situated here.

The most representative buildings in the city are the Church of the Assumption,  Trinity Cathedral and the Orthodox seminary. In addition, there is a holy spring in the middle of the town.

4. Murmansk

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to the airport. Flight to Murmansk. Murmansk is located in the most northwestern part of Russia, behind the Arctic Circle, is the largest city in the Arctic.

Arrival at the airport. Meeting with the guide.

City tour Murmansk. The city was founded in 1916 for sea port purposes. It was fully destroyed during world war II with heavy battles. The Five Corners square and the monument for Soviet Arctic defenders are now the heart of the city. Church of Savior on Waters, Semenovskoye lake, view point on the Green cape, where you can enjoy a nice view of the ever-ice-free bay, all these places are also included in the city tour.

Lunch.

Visit to the world’s first nuclear icebreaker “Lenin”.

Check in at hotel. Dinner.

Departure to outside the city for hunting for the northern lights (depends on the weather).

5. Teriberka

After breakfast, excursion to village Teriberka

Walking tour through Teriberka.

Lunch at a restaurant with panoramic ocean views.

Return back to Murmansk. Dinner.

Departure for the hunting for the northern lights (depends on the weather)

6. Saami Village

Breakfast in the hotel.

Departure to Saami Village, acquaintance with the culture and life of the Saami people. Sami games: throwing nyartala (arcana), sam pal (Sami ball). You will learn a lot about reindeers, feeding, photographing.

Lunch.

Transfer to airport. Departure to St Petersburg.

Arrival in St Petersburg. Transfer to hotel.

7. St. Petersburg 

Breakfast in the hotel.

City sightseeing tour St. Petersburg. Visit the Palace Square, Alexander Column and Senate Square (for 10 minutes), Nevsky avenue, Kazan Cathedral, St. Isaac Cathedral, The Peter and Paul Fortress and many other interesting places.

After lunch visit the Hermitage – one of the most famous museums of the world, where you can enjoy many famous masterpieces of fine art.

Dinner.

8. St. Petersburg, Peterhof

Breakfast in the hotel.

Countryside tour to Peterhof. One of St. Petersburg’s most famous and popular visitor attractions, the palace and park at Peterhof are often referred to as “the Russian Versailles”. Peterhof is perhaps most famous for its remarkable array of decorative fountains, including the incredibly impressive ensemble of the Grand Cascade.

Lunch. Way back to the city. Free time.

Dinner.

9. St. Petersburg
