1. Moscow

Arrival to Moscow.

Meeting with a guide. Transfer to the hotel.

2. Moscow

Breakfast in the hotel.

Metro – tour – visit one of the most beautiful subways in the world – “Underground palaces”.

Lunch.

Visit Kolomenskoye – This former residence of Russian grand princes and tsars has the feel of 16th and 17th century’s ancient Russian palace.

Then you will see Lenin Hills – one of the highest points in Moscow and MSU, the oldest and the most famous University in Russian Federation

Transfer to the hotel.

3. Moscow

After breakfast You will see Red Square, Alexandrov Garden, Tomb to the Unknown Soldier, Lenin’s mausoleum, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, GUM, monument to G.K. Zhukov, Historical museum, The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

Excursion in Kremlin. The Moscow Kremlin is considered to be a symbol of the Russian statehood. The Kremlin hill became the main sightseeing of Moscow. The architectural ensemble “The Moscow Kremlin and Red Square” is included into the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The Moscow Kremlin State Historical and Cultural Museum and Heritage Site incorporates the Armoury Chamber and the architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square, consisting of the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation cathedrals, the Patriarch’s Palace with the Twelve Apostles’ Church and the Ivan the Great Bell-Tower complex.

4. Vladimir – Bogolyubovo – Suzdal

Breakfast in the hotel, departure to the Golden Ring towns.

Visit to Vladimir – one of the most ancient cities in Russia with a huge number of attractions, was founded in 990 by Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich on the bank of the Klyazma River. This is a famous tourist center, the first great principality of Russia and the first capital of north-eastern Russia.

Arrival in the city.

Lunch in the city cafe.

Excursion in Vladimir. During the tour of the historic center, you will get acquainted with the architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square, walk in the Pushkin Park to the observation deck, where the monument to Prince Vladimir “Red Sun” is situated. The city has unique historical and architectural monuments of the 12th century: the Assumption Cathedral with fragments of Andrei Rublev’s frescoes, Dmitrievsky Cathedral and the Golden Gate. Visit the Museum of Crystal and Lacquer Miniatures, or visit the “Old Vladimir” exposition located in the former water tower.

Departure to Bogolyubovo (7 km from Vladimir). Guided walk through the meadow to the famous Church of the Intercession on the Nerl River. It was built in 1165 according to the order of Prince Andrew Bogolyubsky. This temple is considered to be a unique creation of the architecture of the Russian people of the pre-Mongol period. Excursion to the Bogolyubsky monastery (the former residence of Andrei Bogolyubsky).

Departure to Suzdal. Suzdal is one of the most beautiful ancient Russian cities. Suzdal is the only Museum City in Russia, more than 300 monuments are concentrated in the city, which have become the cultural heritage of not only Russia, but also of world culture. The Pokrovsky Monastery, the Suzdal Kremlin, the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin and the Pushkarskaya Sloboda are considered the most interesting to visit.

5. Suzdal

During the sightseeing tour of Suzdal, you will visit the famous Suzdal Kremlin, the oldest temple of Suzdal – the Nativity Cathedral, inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage List. It contains the true pearl of Russian applied art, the 13th century golden gate, made in a rare technique of “fire gilding.” Visit the Bishops’ Chambers (15-17th centuries) – an ensemble of stone buildings. The center of the ensemble is a huge Krestovaya Chamber, one of the recognized architectural wonders of Suzdal. You will visit Monastery of Saint Euthymius, where you will hear a concert of bells and the Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal. The museum of wooden architecture is an open-air complex, where unique buildings of 17-19th centuries are collected, here you can look into the hut of a simple farmer and a peasant, become a guest of a merchant’s house and at the same time visit two churches built without a single nail.

Return to Vladimir, dinner, transfer to the train station. By night train to St.Petersburg.

6. St.Petersburg

In the morning arrival in St.Petersburg. Meeting our guide at the railway station.

Breakfast in a cafe.

City sightseeing tour. Visit the center of St. Petersburg Square – the Palace Square, Alexander Column and Senate Square (for 10 minutes). The Peter and Paul Fortress, Kazan Cathedral, St. Isaac Cathedral, Nevsky Prospect and other interesting places.

Lunch.

Visit Hermitage. The Hermitage is the second-largest art museum in the world. Today its collection has more than 3 million world’s culture items: art and sculpture, archeological finds and unique mechanic stuff, coins, graphics and applied art.

Dinner.

Free time for shopping.

7. Peterhof – St. Petersburg

Breakfast in the hotel.

Countryside tour to Peterhof. One of St. Petersburg’s most famous and popular visitor attractions, the palace and park at Peterhof are often referred to as “the Russian Versailles”. Peterhof is perhaps most famous for its remarkable array of decorative fountains, including the incredibly impressive ensemble of the Grand Cascade.

Lunch. Way back to the city. Free time. Dinner.

8. Peterhof – St. Petersburg

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to the airport. Departure from St. Petersburg.
